How Do I Change My Vehicle Temporarily on My Permit?

At RingGo, we’re committed to making cities more livable by making parking as seamless as possible. If you’re using a courtesy car or a different vehicle for a short time, you can easily update your RingGo permit to stay compliant and stress-free.

Follow these simple steps to update your details:

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Log In - Sign into your RingGo account using your standard credentials.

2. Access Your Permits - Select the Permits tab located at the top of your dashboard.

3. Select Your Council & Edit - Choose your specific local council (or private parking operator) from the list. Once selected, click the Edit button next to your permit.

4. Verify Your Identity - If the system asks for your login details again, please re-enter them. This extra step helps us keep your account and vehicle data secure.

5. Update Your Registration - On the next screen, click Edit on your active permit to enter the temporary vehicle registration number.

Important Information

• Automatic Reversion: Most councils set these changes to be temporary. Your permit will automatically revert to your original vehicle registration after a set period—usually 21 or 28 days, depending on your local council’s rules.

• Permanent Changes: If you need to change your vehicle registration permanently, please reach out to your local council or parking operator. For security and verification reasons, these permanent updates must be handled directly by them and cannot be completed by users within the account settings.
