To ensure your parking session runs smoothly from start to finish, we use a standard process called pre-authorisation. This is a temporary hold on funds that confirms your payment method is ready to cover your stay.
How it works
Starting your session: When you start parking, we request a temporary hold (usually the maximum daily cost for that location). This ensures your session isn't interrupted.
The "Pending" status: You may see this amount as "pending" in your mobile banking app. This is not a final charge; it is simply your bank setting the funds aside.
Stopping your session: Once you stop parking, we immediately tell your bank the final amount for the time you actually used. Only that exact amount is deducted.
Key details
Only pay for your stay: Rest assured, you are only ever charged for the actual time you spend parked.
Release of funds: We release the remaining hold immediately after you stop your session. However, your bank may take anywhere from a few minutes to a few business days to update your balance, depending on their specific processing times.
Why we do this: This standard banking practice helps us provide a reliable, uninterrupted service, helping make city life a little easier for everyone.
