Protecting Yourself from Phishing Scams
At RingGo, your security is our priority. We are currently aware of phishing emails and text messages (SMS) that look like they are from us but are actually sent by scammers. These messages often try to trick you into clicking links or sharing personal details.
How to Spot a Fake Message
Stay confident and in control by looking for these common "red flags":
Check the Sender: Genuine RingGo emails will only ever come from an address ending in @ringgo.co.uk.
Inspect Links: Hover your mouse over any link before clicking. If the web address doesn't look like a genuine RingGo URL, stay safe and don't click.
Watch for Attachments: We will never send you unexpected files or documents.
Protect Your Secrets: RingGo will never ask for your password, PIN, or payment details via email or text.
What to Do if You Receive a Suspicious Message
Stop: Do not click any links or download any attachments.
Report: Use your email provider’s tools to "Block and Report" the sender as spam or phishing.
Delete: Once reported, delete the message from your inbox.
If You’ve Already Clicked or Shared Details
Don't worry—acting quickly is the best way to stay secure:
Reset Your Password: Change your RingGo password immediately. Remember, you will need to provide your Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) for verification during the reset.
Contact Your Bank: If you entered payment details on a suspicious site, call your bank or card provider right away.
Reach Out to Us: We are here to help you secure your account.
Our Commitment to Your Safety
We are working hard with our security partners to take down these fraudulent sites. We truly appreciate you staying vigilant and helping us keep the RingGo community safe.
