If your permit is active but you are unable to book a stay, it usually means you have reached your threshold.
When your local council first approves your permit, they allocate a specific number of parking sessions (such as a set number of full or half days) to your account. Think of it like a session allowance—once those days are used up, you hit your threshold limit.
How to check your remaining sessions
Want to see how many sessions you have left?
Check the website: Log into your account on the RingGo website to view your remaining threshold details.
📱 Note: This information can only be viewed online via our website and is not available to view inside the RingGo mobile app.
What to do when you run low
If you notice you are down to your last 5 sessions, or if you have already run out completely, it’s time to take action:
Get in touch with your council: Reach out to your local council directly. Depending on their local rules, they can either increase your session threshold or guide you on how to reapply for a new permit.
Because thresholds are set entirely by local authorities, RingGo cannot add sessions to your account—but your council will be happy to help you get topped up so you can keep moving!
