Renewing your digital parking permit is just as quick and simple as getting a new one. Because all RingGo permits are 100% virtual, there is no paper sticker, ticket or pass to display on your windscreen—everything updates instantly online.
Follow this easy guide to keep your parking seamless and stress-free.
Step 1: Submit your renewal
Head to the RingGo Permits page on our app or website and log into your account.
Go to your active permits and select the one you want to renew.
Review your details. Update your address or vehicle registration if anything has changed, and upload any required supporting documents.
Hit Submit.
⚠️ Are you a London Borough of Richmond resident? > If you hold a Richmond Residency Status permit, it cannot be renewed. Instead, simply submit a brand-new application when your current one expires to keep your status active.
Step 2: Council approval
Once submitted, your local council or authority will review your documents and make the final decision. RingGo doesn't manage the approvals, but we will let you know the moment the council gives you the green light!
Step 3: Secure your permit
As soon as you receive your approval notification, log back into your RingGo account to make your payment. Your permit is then instantly active.
💡 Tips for a smooth renewal
Don't wait for expiry: We highly recommend submitting your renewal a few days before your current permit ends. This gives your council plenty of time to approve it and ensures you never face a gap in your parking coverage.
Be prepared: Keep digital copies of your supporting documents handy to speed up your application.
