Running a little late or decided to stay for that second coffee? No problem. With RingGo, you can extend your parking in seconds without having to rush back to your vehicle. We’re here to help you stay relaxed and in control.
Follow this simple guide to add more time to your session.
In the RingGo App
The quickest way to stay parked is directly from your phone:
Open the RingGo App and head to your dashboard.
Tap the 'Active Session' tab to see your current parking.
Select the session you want to keep running.
Click 'Extend Session' and choose how much extra time you need.
Confirm and pay. You’ll see an instant confirmation that your time has been updated.
On the RingGo Website
If you’re at your desk, you can manage your session online:
Log in to your account at myRingGo.co.uk.
Navigate to 'Active Sessions' on your account overview.
Find your session and select the Extend option.
Follow the prompts to add time and complete your payment.
⭐ Pro Tip: Don't wait until the last second!
To ensure your parking remains continuous and stress-free, we recommend extending your session at least 10 minutes before it expires. This gives you plenty of time to confirm payment and avoids the risk of a gap in your coverage.
💡 Good to Know
To keep our cities moving and parking fair for everyone, there are a few situations where extending might not be possible:
Maximum Stay Reached: Most parking zones have a limit on how long you can stay (e.g., 4 hours). Once you hit this limit, the app won't allow further extensions.
No Return Rule: If the local council has a "No Return" policy, you might be blocked from starting a new session or extending an old one once the maximum time is up.
Payment & Confirmation: Any additional time requires a new payment. Always wait for the "Success" screen in the app to ensure your vehicle is covered.
If the app blocks your extension: Don't worry—this usually just means you’ve reached the local limit. To avoid a penalty, simply move your vehicle to a different parking zone or street code.
