If you have AutoPay enabled but accidentally paid at a parking machine as well, don't worry. We’re here to help you clear up any duplicate charges so you can get back to your day.
1. Check Your Account
Before taking action, empower yourself with the facts:
Log in to your RingGo account to review your recent transactions.
Confirm if AutoPay has already processed a payment for that specific session.
2. Identify a Duplicate Charge
If both the parking machine and AutoPay processed a payment, you may have been charged twice.
Note the Details: Keep a record of the date, time, and location code for both payments. This makes the refund process much more dependable.
3. Request a Refund
Because RingGo acts as a payment facilitator, the refund process depends on the operator managing the car park:
For Q-Park sessions: You can submit your refund request directly to them via the Q-Park Refund Request page.
Operator Rules: All parking funds are banked directly with the car park operator. Therefore, the final decision on a refund rests with them based on their specific rules and policies.
Helpful Tips to Avoid Duplicate Charges
How AutoPay Works: Remember that AutoPay is designed to handle your payment automatically at participating locations using your registered card.
App First: To stay in control, we recommend checking your RingGo app or account before approaching a machine. If a session is already active, you’re all set!
