We use your location to make finding a parking spot as quick and easy as possible. However, we understand if you’d prefer to enter your location code manually. You can easily adjust these permissions in your phone's settings.
How to turn off location data
The steps vary slightly depending on your device:
For iPhone (iOS) Users
Open your phone's Settings.
Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security.
Tap Location Services.
Find RingGo in the list of apps.
Select Never to stop all location suggestions, or Ask Next Time if you’d like to decide case-by-case.
For Android Users
Open your phone's Settings.
Go to Apps and select RingGo.
Tap Permissions and then select Location.
Choose Don’t Allow to disable location-based suggestions.
💡 A quick reminder for a smooth stay
While location suggestions are handy, they are just there to help. To avoid a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN), we always recommend:
Checking the signs: Before you pay, double-check the 4-7 digit location code on the nearby parking sign.
Confirming in-app: Make sure the location name in the app matches exactly where you’ve parked.
What if I make a mistake? Don't worry—accidents happen. If you select the wrong location and receive a PCN, you can appeal it. Just provide the parking operator with your RingGo VAT receipt as proof that you paid for your stay.
