We want to make your parking experience as seamless as possible. While we handle your payments, it’s the local parking operators who manage the rules and enforcement. Here is a quick guide to help you stay on the right side of the lines.
When should I pay?
In most locations, parking sessions should be started as soon as you arrive. However, rules are changing to make life easier:
Real-time payments: Most sessions start the moment you pay and cannot be backdated.
Retrospective payments: Some specific locations now allow you to pay after you've parked. Always check the local signage or the app instructions for the zone you are in to see if this is an option!
Stay proactive: To avoid a fine, we always recommend starting your session as soon as you pull into a space.
Will I get a fine?
Because we don't manage the enforcement officers on the ground, we can't always tell if a fine is headed your way.
On the dashboard: Usually, a PCN is placed directly on your windscreen.
In the post: Some operators use cameras (ANPR) and will mail the notice to your home address. If you didn't see a ticket on your car, it’s still worth keep an eye on your mail for a few days.
Need more info?
If you have questions about a specific fine or local parking rules, the best move is to contact the enforcement operator listed on the signs in that car park. They are the experts on their specific rules and will have the most up-to-date info on your vehicle's status.
