You can only stop your parking session if you are parked in a Start-Stop location.
If you are parking with a time-based session, you cannot stop it once it has started — it will run until the booked time ends.
Stopping a Start-Stop parking session
You can stop your Start-Stop parking session in two ways:
1. Using the RingGo app
- Open the RingGo app on your phone.
- Log in to your account (if you’re not already logged in).
- Go to your active parking session on the app’s dashboard.
- Select Stop to end your parking session.
Your session will stop immediately, and you’ll only be charged for the time you’ve actually parked.
2. Using the website
- Log in to myringgo.co.uk with your registered email or phone number
- Find the corresponding active session and click the 'Stop' button
3. Using the phone
- Call our dedicated phone line: 0203 046 0010.
- Follow the voice instructions to stop your session.
This option is available if you prefer to use the phone instead of the app.
Automatic stopping with Start-Stop parking
Your session will stop automatically if you reach the maximum allowed parking time at that location.
If you forgot to stop your session
If you forgot to stop your Start-Stop session and were charged for longer than you parked, you may be able to request a refund.
- You’ll need to provide evidence of when you left the parking location (e.g., receipts, tickets, or proof of travel).

✅ Tip: Always check whether your location is a Start-Stop location before parking. If it’s a time-based location, your session will end only when the booked time expires.
