Sometimes, you might see a "No spaces available" message in the app even if you can see empty spots in front of you. We know this can be frustrating when you’re ready to start your day, so here is a quick guide to help you understand why this happens.
Why this happens
To help manage city traffic and keep parking fair for everyone, some car park operators only set aside a specific number of spaces for RingGo users.
Allocation Limits: Once the spaces reserved for our app are booked, the system automatically shows that there are no spaces available.
Operator Rules: These limits are set by the car park owners or local operators to balance different payment methods across the city.
What you can do
If you find yourself in this situation, don’t worry—you still have dependable options to get your vehicle parked:
Check the Machines: Look for a physical pay-and-display machine on-site. You may still be able to pay using a contactless card, chip and pin, or cash.
Look for Signs: Check the local signage for other accepted payment apps or methods that might still have availability.
Find a Nearby Spot: If the RingGo allocation is reached, the app can help you find another great parking location just a few minutes away.
Share Your Feedback
We want to empower you to have the best experience possible. If a specific location frequently shows as having no spaces available on the app but is clearly empty, we recommend contacting the car park operator directly to share your feedback. This helps them decide if they should open up more spaces for RingGo users!
Our Vision: By managing space effectively, we work with operators to reduce congestion and make our cities more liveable for every driver.
