We’ve all been there—sometimes you have more than one car on your account and select the wrong one by mistake. Depending on how quickly you spot the error, here is how we can help you get it sorted.
Regular Parking Sessions
Within the first 15 minutes
If you catch the mistake right away, you can empower yourself to fix it directly in the app:
Open the RingGo app and go to your Dashboard.
Select your active session.
Choose the "Change Vehicle" option to switch to the correct registration.
After 15 minutes
Once 15 minutes have passed, the parking operator's policy prevents further changes. To stay covered and avoid a fine, please:
Start a new session immediately for the correct vehicle.
Request a refund for the incorrect session by clicking here.
Permits
If you are using a permit rather than a standard session:
Log into your account at myRingGo Permits.
Go to the Permit Applications page.
If your permit type allows changes, you will see an option to Edit Vehicle.
Important Note about PCNs (Fines)
We want to be dependable and clear about how fines work. RingGo is a payment facilitator, but we do not manage the car parks or enforcement.
Appeals: If you receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) before you were able to fix the vehicle details, you must appeal directly to the parking operator listed on the ticket. RingGo cannot handle or cancel these appeals for you.
Evidence: Keep your receipts for both the "wrong" and "right" vehicles, as these will be helpful evidence for your appeal.
