Riding electric is a brilliant way to help make Westminster more liveable. We’ve made this guide to help you navigate the local parking rules confidently so you can get back to enjoying your ride.
Identify your vehicle type
To benefit from these parking perks, your motorcycle must be purely electric. Hybrid motorcycles or those with any form of combustion engine are not eligible for free parking in Westminster.
Find the right bay
Where you park determines whether you pay:
Solo Motorcycle Bays: Parking is free and no payment is required.
Standard Pay-to-Park Bays: If you park in a standard bay, you must pay the zonal motorcycle charge via your parking app.
Book your yearly session
Even though parking in solo bays is free, you must register your vehicle annually to stay compliant. This cannot be done at a parking meter; it must be managed through your online account.
Log In: Go to the MyRingGo website and log into your account.
Book Session: Select the option to book a yearly electric motorcycle session.
Stay Updated: You will need to renew this session every year to ensure your vehicle remains recognised as exempt in solo bays.
Charging on the go
There are currently no dedicated "motorcycle-only" charging points in Westminster. If you need to charge, you are welcome to use the general electric vehicle charging points located throughout the city, subject to standard charging fees and time limits.
